The publication of your book can be made in the following formats:

both formats: open access book and printed book.
If you choose to contract for both print and digital publication but do not request printing at the time of contracting, it can be requested at any time after publication. Additionally, by publishing in print, your book will be available in the PoD (Printing on Demand) system. You can purchase your book starting from just one unit, and anyone interested in your book can also buy it individually.

If you choose to only publish your digital book at first, it is possible to request adaptation and publication in print format whenever you wish. There is no set deadline for this, just inform us at any time.
About prices and funding institution
The publication of open access digital books can be funded directly by the authors or by non-profit or public funding institutions through grants, postgraduate programs, and universities through commitment or upfront payment. If the author pays for the book, it is possible to make installment payments for the contracted amounts.
About the Licence Creative Commons
When published, digital books are made available for reading and free download on the website of Pimenta Cultural, without the need for login or data submission, and on several national and international indexers under a Creative Commons License.
Digital books are published under the Creative Commons License - Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International - CC BY-NC (CC BY-NC-ND), which grants the freedom of sharing and copying to anyone, while protecting their copyright. Although Creative Commons licenses allow for sharing and copying of works, the citation of passages and respect for authorship are protected under the Brazilian Copyright Law (Law 9.610/98). In Article 46, Section III, "the use of excerpts from any work, for the purposes of study, criticism, or controversy, as justified by the intended purpose, and including the author's name and the source of the work, shall not constitute an infringement of copyright."
Indexers and Visibility
Our books are open to the public and distributed for free on the Pimenta Cultural website and various national and international indexers. Click here to learn more. They are also sent to over 400 registered university libraries in our mailing list and to more than 25,000 researchers, students, and teachers in our database.
About Book Length
PDF (Portable Document Format) and ePub (Electronic Publication) are both digital formats for ebooks, but there are some important differences between them.

Our eBooks have differentiated editing and graphic design, and are not simply a PDF file. Access one of our books and see for yourself.
The open access digital books published by Pimenta Cultural are square-shaped and have artwork specifically created for each project. This is our identity and what sets us apart, but we have more than that. Our digital books are truly made for this purpose and are not just a simple PDF file.
The eBooks have programming with internal and external navigation links, bookmarks at the headings of titles and subtitles, hyperlinks in the table of contents and index, metadata programming, and other details that enrich the work even more.
All works published by Pimenta Cultural value the broad sharing of knowledge. That's why our books have basic accessibility features, making it easier to identify titles and paragraphs. Images, graphics, and other special elements can also be described upon request from the authors and with a previous estimate. The content is open and can be read by screen readers.
The main objective of all this work is to ensure that the book reaches a wide audience, is aesthetically pleasing, and easy to navigate.
