How does indexing and impact factors work?<\/p>

Indexing of 100% open works on Google Books<\/strong><\/span><\/a> is essential and of great importance since it is one of the ways to count publication indexes of research authors.<\/p>

By inserting data and work into Google Books<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, we can activate evaluation and citation counting mechanisms and the “h<\/span><\/strong>” and “i10<\/span><\/strong>” indexes<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>

The index<\/strong><\/span> “h<\/strong><\/span>” is an impact factor calculated according to the number of articles published by the researcher. Thus, “when we say that a researcher’s “h<\/strong><\/span>” index is ten, it means that he has at least ten published articles, each with at least ten citations. The more articles of great interest published by the researcher, the more citations achieved, and the higher their “h<\/span><\/strong>” index, reflecting the researcher’s academic-scientific quality and productive capacity” (TOMAZ, ASSAD, MOREIRA, 2011, online). The “i10<\/strong><\/span>” index is an impact factor directly related to the “h<\/strong><\/span>” index and shows the published articles that have more than ten citations each.<\/p>

We recommend that all our authors register a profile on Google Scholar<\/strong><\/span><\/a> so that works are impacted and indexed automatically from our work registration. From these actions, the work starts to score every time there is a citation of parts of the text in other indexed works, generating a large research network.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Google Books measures the impact of works and automatically calculates the “i10<\/strong><\/span>” and “h<\/span><\/strong>” indexes on the researcher’s profile with Google Scholar<\/strong><\/span><\/a>. This index can be related to the Lattes Curriculum<\/strong><\/span><\/a> in a specific field for this purpose. It is important that the researcher has their profile on the platform so that the indexes are correctly computed.<\/p>\n
